I shot this photo of Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys in '95? At their studio in Atwater Village, LA. 

I was walking home from The Complex, Washington DC., '86, where I saw Beefeater and The Sub Humans, when we passed the 9:30 club and heard some punk music. As punkers we knew whenever there was a punk band playing in the city, but we didn't know anything was going on that night. We walked in and it was some shitty band called The Beastie Boys. The next year Licensed To Ill came out.
